The news about the blocking of debit cards of few banks for payment in IRCTC is proved to be totally fake and payment could be done using any card using any bank’s gateway.

Fake news that was been spread in last few hours.
IRCTC has made it clear that it was never been done and also have given statements abiut how to use gateway of banks in the payment section.

There has been a revision in the charges for usage of debit cards in the gateways like ICICI, AXIS Payment gateway , Paytm or Payu to be – 0.25% for transactions upto Rs.1000/-, 0.5% for transactions above Rs.1000 and upto 2000/- and 1.0% for above Rs. 2000 value transactions.

In India we are familiar to only on system of trains that is a locomotive leading the coaches (I say it as  leading power system ). This system is neither safe,fast nor efficient. Know about ‘First Ever’ solar powered DEMU!!

The solared power DEMU is going was been tested for it’s reliablity and power consuption in Jodhpur division (NWR).It would be running between Delhi and Farukhnagar. Indian Railways are in their way to use more and more of renewable resources to run their train.The solar powered DEMU consisting of 6 coaches with solar panel on it’s roofs. Last year, Northern Railways had fitted one coach of the Rewari-Sitapur passenger with solar panels. However, this would be the first DEMU (Diesel Electric Multiple Unit) broad gauge train, in which all coaches have solar panels, says Railways. Solar panel fitted coaches already run on narrow-gauge trains plying on Pathankot-Jogindernagar route in Kangra Valley section and Kalka-Shimla section.
